Registration Policies

If you are not currently an ACDA member but plan to become a new member or renew your membership, you must inform the ACDA National Office by emailing or calling 240.428.1736.  You will then receive the regional conference password enabling you to register as a member.  Your membership dues must be sent to the ACDA national office as soon as possible (Click here for ACDA membership information). 


  • To register for a regional conference as a member, all institutional memberships must be in good standing.  All outstanding balances to ACDA and/or past regional conferences must be paid in full.
  • The conference will be filled on a first-paid/first-registered basis.
  • Registration is not complete until full payment is received
  • To reserve adjudication slots, institutions must officially register student(s). Any adjudication registration without a corresponding school registration of student(s) will be canceled.
  • In all cases, full payment must be received by conference deadline.
  • To hold your registration slots until the full payment deadline, payment or proof of intention to pay must be received within two weeks of submitting your online registration.
      • purchase order number
      • written documentation of an official request to make payment
  • There are no refunds on paid registrations.
  •  All of the above applies to both participant and adjudication slots.
  • Informal Concert slots may be requested during the first three days of registration.  Slots will be assigned, giving priority to those with no reserved adjudication slots.  After three days, any remaining slots will be on a first-come/first-served basis.
  • Cancellation fees will be assessed on unpaid registrations as follows:
    • $25.00 cancellation fee on each cancelled unpaid registration.
    • $75.00 cancellation fee on each cancelled unpaid reserved adjudication slot.
  • ACDA and Conference Coordinators are dedicated to providing requested special accommodations for any student or faculty member attending a conference.  In order to facilitate accommodations, ACDA requires that faculty reps contact the Conference Coordinator at least 60 days prior to the start of the conference to discuss potential accommodation needs.  It is the responsibility of the faculty rep., not the conference coordinator, to follow up with detailed information.
