We listened to your overwhelming interest in a virtual seminar and have planned a multi-day event for Monday, November 16 through Wednesday, November 18, 2020. There will be 4 hours of presentations each day, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, leaving you time for your other duties and responsibilities.
Because the state codes in Florida change on December 31, 2020, all of the virtual presentations are directly related to the revisions to the 7th edition of the Florida Building Code, the 2018 edition of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and the 2018 edition of the FGI Guidelines.
AHCA Virtual Seminar Faculty:Doug Erickson, CEO of the Guidelines Institute, will review major revisions to the 2018 FGI Guidelines, and provide a preview of the revisions to the 2022 edition. Members of the 2018 FGI Guidelines Revision Committee will provide expert presentations on other aspects of the 2018 FGI Guidelines, and Scott Waltz, Bureau Chief of Plans and Construction, will be presenting revisions made to the Florida Building Code. All of the sessions are being given by the people who were directly responsible for these revisions, so the information being presented is coming directly from the source. For a program outline, including dates and times of all presentations, click on the Schedule tab.
CEUs for the AHCA Virtual Seminar:Twelve (12) HSW continuing education hours have been approved for Architects, AIA members, andProfessional Engineers. Seven (7) hours of general continuing education have been submitted to the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CLIB) for Contractors. There are also 12 Self Certified ASHE hours available for Facility Engineers.
