Loyola University New Orleans College of Law | CLE, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, is proud to present the 2020 Annual Longshore Conference, a two-day program for maritime practitioners and industry professionals seeking proficiency in the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA), Defense Base Act (DBA), and other “extension” acts. This conference provides both a great learning platform and networking opportunity for attorneys and claims professionals.

CLE Credits and Printed Materials

CLE Credit 

Last year, the 2019 Annual Longshore Conference was approved for the following:

11.5 hours credit (including 1.0 hour of ethics) 

11.5 hours credit (including 3.0 hours of ethics) 

11.5 hours credit (including 1.0 hour of ethics) 

11.5 hours credit, including 1.0 hour of ethics, and 1.0 hour of Professionalism

11.5 hours credit, including 1 hour of ethics

14.0 general hours credit, including 1.0 ethics, 1.0 technology
14.0 hours credit in Admiralty & Maritime, Workers' Compensation, and Civil Trial
1.0 hours credit in Appellate Practice

Loyola is an ABA Accredited law school and presumptively approved as a CLE provider in most states. We will seek CLE credit approval from the same states for the 2020 Annual Longshore Conference.

CE Credit
CE Credit will be applied for as follows:
Texas Insurance
Mississippi Insurance - approval granted 14.0 hours
Louisiana Insurance - approval granted 12.0 hours general, 1.0 hour ethics 

Attendance certificates will be issued upon completion to those seeking CE credits in other professions.

Printed materials need only be purchased if you want them in addition to those sent electronically.
