DAY ONE | WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22, 2020

The “Vision” of Supervision

Purpose: Create leaders who exercise “super” vision, rather than just “vision” as supervisors. Attendees will explore how to transition from being a team member to a manager and what to do to become a visionary supervisor.

Objectives:

  • Understand the role and expectations of management
  • Determine visions, goals and best practices
  • Learn trust building techniques
  • Learn the “Myths of Motivation”

The Power of Personalities When
Building High-Performance Teams

Purpose: Participants will utilize the DISC inventory of personality profiles to learn more about themselves and their team in order to flex their styles and move toward high performance.

Objectives:

  • Utilize the DISC inventory to recognize motivation factors and diverse personality types
  • Recognize the four stages of team development and differing needs of team members
  • Recognize and model key attributes of high-performing teams

Invest in College-Level Instruction

Up-and-coming credit union leaders looking to further their careers will find the skills they need from the Michigan Credit Union League and The Business & Community Institute at Lansing Community College.

These new one-day sessions, each packaged to tackle two valuable credit union leadership topics, are now available to affiliated MCUL-member credit unions.

Timely and relevant topic training is made affordable through specially negotiated rates to provide credit union staffers with advanced supervisory skills.

All sessions are presented by academic instructors from Lansing Community College.

Daily Schedule

  • Check-In/Breakfast: 8:00 am
  • Morning Sessions: 8:30 am–12:30 pm
  • Lunch: 12:30–1:00 pm
  • Afternoon Sessions: 1:00–5:00 pm

Lansing Community College West Campus is located near many hotels, allowing attendees to choose accommodations that meet their budget and preferences.
