Poster presentations will be by a 5 to 10-minute recorded video.  The deadline for the video is 12/04/2020. 

We ask that each presenter be available during their assigned poster session to answer questions by a live text chat feature. 

There is also the option on our platform for presenter-supplied downloadable files, such as a copy of the poster, a preprint of the conference paper, or other background material.

1) Open your PowerPoint slide deck
2) In tool bar select “Slide Show”
3) Click on “Record Slide Show”  “Record From Beginning”
    a. You will be able to make annotations, and conduct a voice over during the recording process
4) In lower right-hand corner select your recording option
    a. Microphone: Voice only
    b. Video Camera: Front Face Camera will record you as you speak, your picture in picture will be embedded into your final slides
    c. Person: You will see your image getting recorded as you go through presentation, it will embed into your final slides
5) Click Record and speak through your presentation while you are clicking through your slides
    a. You can right click to find pointer options
    b. You can use the annotation tools on the bottom to draw
6) At end of presentation click the screen to exit
7) Save your presentation as a MPEG-4 Video (.mp4)

Create a YouTube Channel

Follow these instructions to create a channel that only you can manage using your Google Account.

1.Sign in to YouTube on a computer or using the mobile site.
2.Try any action that requires a channel, such as uploading a video, posting a comment, or creating a playlist.
3.If you do not yet have a channel, you will see a prompt to create a channel.
4.Check the details and confirm to create your new channel

How to Upload a Video to YouTube

1) Navigate to YouTube in a web browser:
    a. A personal computer may be needed to sign into your YouTube account
2) Make sure you are logged in. You will see an account avatar in the upper right corner
    a. Click “Sign In” and enter your information if you are not signed in
3) Click the create a video button at the top of the screen. It looks like a video camera. This is the 1st of your 4 options on the top right hand corner on the YouTube home page. In the drop-down menu, click “Upload Video”
4) The video upload page should appear. Choose the video you want to upload and drag and drop in to the page.
5) While the video is uploading you can enter information like the name and description of the video
6) Select the audience for your video. Click Next
7) Select your level of visibility. Choose Unlisted or Public, these will provide you with a URL that we will use for the virtual conference. Click Save.
8) Copy the URL and email it to HTPD2020@LANL.GOV
