The evolving impact of insurtech on the insurance industry

Presented by: Joel Hopkins, Partner, Kara Pike, Valerie Pennachio,  with Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr

Description: The use of new technologies in the insurance world is expanding at an incredible pace, and much of the “old guard” is struggling to keep up with those who seek to fundamentally change the business of insurance.  This session will deal with three aspects of insurtech, including the expanding role of social media in advertising and promoting insurance products, the use of artificial intelligence in the claims world, and the development of regulatory “sandboxes” to facilitate innovative products and processes [or how BlockChain technology is changing how business is conducted].
