The Departments of Family Medicine and OB/GYN at the University of Michigan, in partnership with the Adolescent Health Initiative, present the 24th Annual Primary Health Care of Women conference, December 15-16, 2016.
We are excited for the 2016 course! We have designed this course as a three-year rotation of sessions aiming to provide comprehensive coverage of primary care topics essential for the care of your female patients. The plenary lectures will cover current topics such as the Zika Virus and pregnancy and transgender care. Other topics include urinary incontinence, screening for colon and breast cancer, contraception, headache, acne and IBS. Breakout sessions will allow you to tailor the two days to your personal interests. Breakout topics include physical therapy for urinary incontinence, initial evaluation of infertility, Primary care for transgender persons, social media, and yoga in pregnancy. This course is a clinically oriented program specifically designed for health care professionals with diversified primary care practices, including but not limited to Family Physicians, internists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
The Primary Health Care of Women conference will be held at the Kensington Court in Ann Arbor (new location), which has recently undergone a renovation to offer ultra-modern event facilities. The course includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
