Summary

Calling all PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Nurses! It’s that time of year again! One of our most well attended and popular programs, the Annual PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Conference is back for its 29th year on March 10th, 2018, at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill!

Designed by perianesthesia nurses for perianesthesia nurses, this conference is re- developed every year to address the learning needs of PACU and ambulatory surgery nurses in North Carolina. The 29th Annual PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Conference will deliver the most up-to-date information on curernt topics that affect PACU nurses and their patients from both professional and clinical perspectives.

This year, we have expanded our program to include expert speakers in both the adult and pediatric PACU settings. Through the use of case studies and interactive discussions, you will learn more about how to manage difficult airways, plan the nursing care of uniquely challenging populations, discover new treatments for malignant hypothermia and get the latest information on the regulations and standards that affect every day clinical work. Participants will also discover how PACU nurses can make a difference in the opioid epidemic that is centered right here in our home state.

Network with colleagues from across North Carolina, enhance your clinical skills and learn about the hottest topics in PACU and Ambulatory Surgery nursing.
