Join us for an evening on March 8th and all day on March 9th, 2011, to discuss “Risky Driving” initiatives and prevention across Ontario. This event will provide numerous opportunities for learning and engaging various public health practitioners, LHIN members and government workers on the issue of Risky Driving prevention and programming.
Presentations will encompass the underlying research, implementation, policy-making implications, key aspects for engaging stakeholders, and next steps. We hope to highlight the challenges experienced by various initiatives and present information on how you can work with various stakeholders to overcome these obstacles. The MTO presentation will provide information on new programs, resources and contacts available at the MTO. A panel of key stakeholders will be present to field your questions on how to engage various sectors and create relationships key to the success of your programming. Representatives from both the Traffic Injury Research Foundation and Arrive Alive DRIVE SOBER will be present to field your questions. The day will consist of various group sessions in which you will be able to put to use all of the information and resources provided by the presentations and panel discussions.
