Impact of Major Disasters on the Residential Market

Comprising close to 267,000 square miles, it is no surprise that Texas leads all other states in the number and types of natural disasters, including tornadoes, floods, wildfires, and hurricanes. Every disaster affects Texas in its own unique way, and nearly every calendar year, at least one major disaster is declared in Texas.

The focus of this year’s summit is to explore whether any predictable patterns exist in the way disasters impact the state’s residential real estate market from an interdisciplinary perspective and to discuss potential ways to mitigate that impact in the future.

Attendees may attend all day or half day (5 or 3 CE hours). Please see continuing education and fees pages for details.
