Speakers and all other attendees need to make their own hotel reservations. Even if you are a speaker or if your lodging is going to be covered by a travel grant, you must still book the room yourself and provide your credit card in case you have incidental expenses not eligible to be covered by LANL (room service, movies, bar, etc.).

The rate is $97 plus tax.  This rate is the current government per diem rate and is guaranteed if reserved prior to the reservation deadline .  This is a deeply discounted rate for Santa Fe, so please make your reservations early.Current Federal per diem rates for New Mexico can be found here.


Transportation

Airports:

Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ), located in Albuquerque, New Mexico is the major airport for travelers coming to Santa Fe, Los Alamos, and Albuquerque. Albuquerque is about 60 miles south of Santa Fe and 100 miles south of Los Alamos. The airport has car rental facilities and a shuttle terminal.For additional information, click here.

Santa Fe also has a small municipal airport (SAF). A few commercial carriers including American, United, and Frontier use this airport. For additional information, click here.

Railrunner Commuter Train:

The Railrunner travels from Albuquerque to Santa Fe for $7 each way. There are free buses to take you from the Albuquerque airport to the train station and then from the Santa Fe train station to local hotels. For additional Information and schedules, click here.

 

Commuter Bus Service:

Albuquerque
There is no bus service from Albuquerque to other cities. The only public transportation that leaves Albuquerque is the Railrunner train that goes to Santa Fe.

Park and Ride bus from Los Alamos to Santa Fe
The Blue Route of the Park and Ride bus is an excellent way to get from the Lab to the conference and back each day. It costs $3 each way and will be virtually empty as you will be riding opposite of commuter traffic. It will pick you up from either the Los Alamos Library or the TA-3 parking front gate parking lot and drop you off at Sheridan and Palace (a few easy blocks from the center of downtown).

Pick up times from LANL's TA-3 (The Public Library is 10 minutes earlier):
