Question:
What airport do I fly into?
Answer:
The most common airport used for trips to Santa Fe or Los Alamos is Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ). There is a small airport in Santa Fe, with limited commercial flights on American, United and Frontier. Albuquerque is approximately an hour's drive from Santa Fe and two hours away from Los Alamos.
Question:
How do I get from the Albuquerque Airport to the hotel?
Answer:
There are two shuttle services available that provide service from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. Reservations are required with either company. The cost is approximately $50 round trip. See the "Hotel and Transportation" tab for more info. There are also numerous car rental companies at the Albuquerque Airport.
Question:
As a conference attendee, will I be able to visit Los Alamos National Lab?
Answer:
Unfortunately, no. If you want to visit LANL, you will need to contact a conference organizer or other LANL Staff Member to arrange a visit. Due to LANL policy, this may take months to arrange. The general public is invited to visit LANL's
Bradbury Science Museum
at no cost and with no advance notice.
Question:
How will my reimbursement or travel grant work?
Answer:
We may prepay for your hotel, but not always. This will be detailed on your official letter from LANL. Once you have completed your travel, you will need to send us receipts along with a signed form that you will receive at the event. receipts should be submitted to us within 1 month of the event. Once the receipts are received, it generally takes two months for you to receive your check.
