The State Emergency Management Agency will be hosting the 30th Annual Missouri Emergency Management Conference! The Conference is designed for all individuals with a responsibility in Emergency Management and an interest in any area of Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery. 

The Early Bird Special of $175.00 for attendees will be available until July 20, 2018. After this date, the regular conference fee of $200.00 will be charged.*


This year we are excited to have made some changes to the agenda! We have added additional Breakout Session times and shortened General Session times in order to maximize the educational opportunities of our attendees. Our breakout sessions will be divided into 3 different tracks this year: Emergency Management, Hazmat, and Health & Medical; however, attendees will not be required to stay within one track when selecting the breakout sessions they wish to attend - actually, we encourage you to attend sessions in each track. Finally, we will have our first ever Pre-Conference Session!

The Pre-Conference Session will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. This pre-conference session will be focused on Opioid Use In Missouri, a topic that impacts all realms of emergency management! The registration fee for this event will be $50 (in addition to the regular registration fee listed above) and will include lunch at 11:30am. Space for this will be limited to 100 people, so be sure to get your registration completed early if you would like to attend! If you're not sure why the topic of opioids is relevant to your work in emergency management, this session is for you! 

*Conference fees MUST be paid in full to attend both the conference and pre-conference sessions. If you have not paid prior to your arrival at the conference, you must pay in full at the conference check-in desk. The rate at that time will be $200.00 for the conference and $50 for the pre-conference. You will NOT be admitted to the conference until payment has been made in full. NO EXCEPTIONS!

++CEPF funds can be used toward approved HAZMAT based topics only.  All approved topics will be selected at a later date and noted with an asterisk (*) at the beginning of the breakout session name.  All General Sessions will also be approved for attendance using these funds.++


We would like to thank the Missouri Emergency Management Association (MOEMA) for their partnership in planning a great conference this year! MOEMA is a non-profit statewide organization of emergency preparedness and response practitioners with the common goal of improving public safety in emergencies. MOEMA was originally formed as the Missouri Emergency Preparedness Association (MEPA) by a group of local civil defense directors in 1960 who recognized the need to expand and incorporate personnel in emergency service organizations into a cohesive and productive association.  If you have not yet signed up to be a MOEMA member for 2018, you may do so by following this link:


Attendee registration fee includes all General Sessions, Breakout Sessions, Breaks, Lunches and Breakfasts listed on the agenda.  There is an additional fee of $50 to register for the Pre-Conference (which includes lunch and all speakers on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 21st).
