30th Annual PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Conference

Registration and Continental Breakfast start at 7:30am.

Calling all PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Nurses! It’s that time of year again! One of our most well attended and popular programs, the Annual PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Conference is back for its 30th year on March 23th, 2019, at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill!

Designed by perianesthesia nurses for perianesthesia nurses, this conference is re- developed every year to address the learning needs of PACU and ambulatory surgery nurses in North Carolina. The 30th Annual PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Conference will deliver the most up-to-date information on current topics that affect PACU nurses and their patients from both professional and clinical perspectives. This program will include expert speakers in both the adult and pediatric PACU settings.

You will learn about the role of opioids in managing pain and how to recognize drug diversion. There will be an update on pediatric surgeries and information about how to obtain consent for minors in the custody of the Dept of Social Services. We will also learn about a surgical procedure that provides the best cosmetic and functional outcomes for patients with nasal and facial defects. We will close out our conference with a review of the legal and regulatory standards.

Make plans now to network with colleagues from across North Carolina, enhance your clinical skills, learn about the hottest topics in PACU and Ambulatory Surgery nursing and to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Register early for this fun, energized conference! We hope to see you there!
