DiscussionThe conference agenda follows the Gordon Conference format:

talks in the morning and evening, with afternoons free for informal discussions and exploration.  The late evenings of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday bring the Poster Sessions, with science, beer, wine, and a chance to interact with the sponsors of the FRS, who help make this conference possible.

Conference Workshop:  Writing Competitive Research Grant Proposals

Dr. Askar Fahr, Program Manager of the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund, will chair a workshop / presentation on Writing Competitive Research Grant Proposals at the Symposium.  Dr. Richard Johnson, Program Director at the U.S. National Science Foundation, and Dr. Wade Sisk, Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy, will provide their perspectives on how to put your best foot forward when applying for funding.  If you have never written a grant, are just getting started, or are an experienced grant writer, we would value your participation in this workshop.  It will take place either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday afternoon during the conference.  Stay tuned for more details.
