33rd International Symposium on Free Radicals

Three international airports serve the San Francisco Bay Area, which is a 3.5 hour drive from Olympic Valley.  San Francisco International (SFO) is the largest airport, with San Jose (SJC) and Oakland (OAK) airports nearby.  Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is another option and is a 2 hour drive to the conference site.  All airports provide rental cars.

The closest commercial airport to the conference site is the Reno-Tahoe Airport (RNO), with connections from many airports in the United States. Rental cars are available for the 50 minute drive to Olympic Valley.

For those who do not wish to drive, we recommend flying to the Reno-Tahoe Airport, and reserving a shuttle bus space with North Lake Tahoe Express.  They provide shuttle buses from the Reno airport directly to Plump Jack Inn for $49 one way (or less if we can create groups). Their schedule and fees are listed here.

Although there is train service, provided by Amtrak, between the San Francisco Bay Area and Truckee, CA, and taxi service from Truckee to the Plump Jack Inn, there is no easy way to get from the San Francisco Bay Area airports to the beginning of the train line, and we therefore do not recommend this option.
