36th Annual Northwest Children's Conference

Summary

We invite you to join us for the 36th Annual Northwest Conference on Children’s Physical Education (K-8).  Please join us for a fun filled day of professional development.  Connect with your colleagues, re-energize with learning and playing.  Time to see what’s new in your profession.  Special invited guests include Terri Drain, National Board Certified Teacher, 2008 Southwest District SHAPE America Elementary Teacher of the Year and Janae Ballingham National Board Certified Teacher,  2014 Southwest District SHAPE America Middle School Teacher of the Year.  

Sessions topics included, but are not limited to, standard based instruction, Political know how and update on HB 3141, ESSA and you, fitness activities, skill based learning, teaching adapted physical education, assessment, latest trends, Let’s Move Active Schools, Rhythms and Dance, We Care Sports,  Brain Boosts, Sport Education, Small sided Games, Teaching Games for Understanding, Best practices for Elementary Physical Education and Middle School Physical Education Teachers, and much more.

Pre-registration includes a conference t-shirt, packet and onsite sack lunch.

On Saturday February 25th, registration opens at 7:00am and the Conference begins at 8:00am.

Pre-registration ends February 11, 2017 - cost $125.  

Onsite or after February 11, 2017 is $150 (cannot guarantee you a conference t-shirt or lunch since we will be ordering based on pre-registration numbers two weeks in advance)  College student cost (with proof) $30.  Students, same rules apply for t-shirt and lunch.
