Thirty-seven years ago, a group of student leaders at Texas A&M University felt the need for a conference that would bring student leaders together to share information and experiences concerning their respective schools. As a result, in 1981, Texas A&M hosted the first annual Conference on Student Government Associations (COSGA).

COSGA has famously been hosted in College Station on and around the Texas A&M campus. However, this year for the first time in our history, we are excited to announce that we will be moving to Houston, TX. This change, we hope, will allow us to be more accessible to our delegates and provide more quality at the same price. Hopefully, you will come join us and see what kind of changes are in store. The heart of COSGA has not changed - we are still a student led conference focused on student learning, and we want to share that with student governments all around the world.

Each year since its inception, the conference has grown in both size and scope. COSGA is now the largest student run conference of its kind. Conference welcomes hundreds of delegates from institutions across the nation and around the world. The purpose of COSGA is to provide a conference which focuses on the needs of student leaders, more specifically, those of student government. To fulfill this purpose, COSGA uses a variety of tools: expert speakers, workshops, and roundtable discussions.

COSGA provides a forum for discussion and growth on all issues pertaining to Student Government. COSGA is the premiere conference for Student Governments in the nation, we provide a level of student involvement and professionalism that can not be found anywhere else. Our theme this year will be "Beyond All Limits". Please see the COSGA Theme tab for more information!
