FAQ

COSGA Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will the conference provide shuttle transportation to and from the airport, and to and from the conference center?

A: This year, because of the change of location, COSGA is unable to provide transportation to and from the airport. However, our conference center (Norris Conference Centers) will have free garage parking available for the entirety of the conference for anyone renting cars, and there are several other options for short range travel (Uber, Lyft, taxis, etc.) As for the actual conference center, it is connected to the conference hotel via skybridge. They are in the same building complex, and a short walk from each other, which will make accessing the conference very easy

Q: Where is COSGA hosted this year in Houston?

A: COSGA will be held in the CITYCENTRE complex at Beltway 8 and I-10 (816 Town & Country Blvd. #210, Houston, TX, 77024). This is a very upscale area with plenty of restaurants, retail, and entertainment located walking distance from the hotel and the conference center. We are also short Uber/Lyft rides away from other popular Houston areas such as Memorial City, Uptown, and the Galleria.

Q: What do conference fees cover?

A: COSGA fees cover Friday dinner (post-registration welcome event), Saturday lunch, Sunday dinner, all day drink and snack service during the conference, all conference content and events, all conference material, a conference t-shirt, unlimited wifi access at both the conference center and the hotel, and free parking at the conference center garage for the entire weekend.

Q: What will my university gain from coming to COSGA?

A: Every year, COSGA hopes to provide the best content possible for universities of all sizes and types. Through our roundtable discussions, our delegate-led workshop presentations, and our various speaker-led sessions, we hope that your delegates at the conference leave with a larger understanding of great things that student governments around the nation are doing, and how they're implementing these programs. We also hope that through our conference, we are helping your students to become better leaders. Because many universities attend COSGA, we also want students and advisors in attendance to see it as a networking opportunity, not only with students from these other universities, but the students who host the conference.
