General Animal Science Camp Information

  • Science Camp (Dairy, Equine, and Livestock) emphasizes the science in "animal science!" Hands-on workshops deal with the scientific aspects of animal management, behavior, health, nutrition, reproduction, and more. Fitting or grooming, project animal selection, showmanship, or riding clinics are not a part of the camp experience.
  • Workshops appeal to both 4-H teens and adult volunteers.
  • Chaperones attend at a reduced rate! A limited number of spaces have been reserved for chaperones. Note that chaperones will be assigned duties throughout the event. Chaperones must be current, screened 4-H volunteers or Extension staff. See Chaperone website for more information and registration.
