    Burnout in Medicine-Rekindle the Spark

Helping people is an awesome responsibility.

Medicine is an awesome responsibility.  We are in a sacred position to help in a unique way.  So, why are so many providers struggling?  Is it the long hours?  Is it the documentation?  It is patient expectation, or the “business of medicine?”

Remember the moment of acceptance?  Remember the moment you were notified you got into PA school?  Did you cry?  I remember the moment very well.  I knew I was going to be in a position to help people medically.  I was enthusiastic, passionate and excited.

Being a clinician has had it’s ups and downs.  And will continue to.  Are you in a down?

Burnout in Medicine – Rekindle the Spark, is a 2-hour pre-conference designed to exploration in the WHY behind patient care in hope to rekindle the passion of providing medical care.  This is a non-CME session.

    Urgent Care Workshop, Pt. 1

*This is a 2 day workshop, Wednesday, 8/21 and Thursday, 8/22*

Urgent care medicine is when the “sniff test” says they don’t need to be admitted.  The Urgent Care Workshop is designed for those chief complaints that require rapid assessment and disposition.

From wound care, orthopedics, to the ill child, rashes and superficial eye complaints.  This course is designed for anyone who care for acutely ill patients, from those in an emergency department or fast track/urgent care, to primary care providers who manage acutely ill patients.

We will live by the Golden Rule of Urgent Care Medicine: “I will not get burned.”  This course will teach essentials of diagnosis, treatment and documentation that are keys to stay out of medical legal trouble.

This course, with limited capacity, will use evidence based medicine combined with the art of medicine to measurable increase your confidence and competence in urgent care medicine.

We will use audience response units to challenge and test your knowledge and recall.

This course will be taught by John Bielinski, Jr., MS, PA-C.
