48th Anniversary Urban Affairs Coalition Breakfast

On Friday, November 17, 2017 from 7:45am - 9:30am, over 800 guests - all decision makers in business, government and grassroots communities - will show their support to the mission of the Coalition as we celebrate and reflect by honoring leaders in the community who help inspire us through their dedication and accomplishments. We hope that you will join us at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Terrace Ballroom, 142 N. Broad Street in Philadelphia, for this year's event themed And still we rise...building bridges to the next generation.

For 48 years, the Urban Affairs Coalition has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life in the region, build wealth in urban communities, and solve emerging issues. Our network of 60+ partner organizations and programs serve more than 150,000 children, youth and adults annually, addressing critical issues in our communities including -- digital literacy, summer youth employment, free tax services, small business financing, anti-predatory home improvement loans, special needs housing, economic inclusion, HIV/AIDS prevention and so much more.

The Urban Affairs Coalition unites government, business, neighborhoods, and individual initiative to improve the quality of life in the region, build wealth in urban communities, and solve emerging issues. Our network of 60+ partner organizations and programs reaches more than 150,000 children, youth, and adults. We work in the areas of positive youth development, adult education and job training, health-related services, economic education, housing support, advocacy, and economic inclusion.

Because of the Coalition:

  • Children and young adults who begin life at the bottom of the economic ladder have the chance to
    climb higher.
  • Families in low-income communities find bridges to education, jobs, and sound financial advice.
  • Minority and women entrepreneurs with energy, skill, and ambition have the opportunity to access
capital that can turn a good idea into a successful business.
  • Passionate people embedded deep in neighborhoods join forces and form effective networks whose
collective voice is impossible to ignore.
