Program Overview

Course Description:
Everyday we face challenges in providing the highest quality care for our patients. This year’s Symposium will focus on how to overcome these barriers as we all work towards functioning in high performing teams. The 6th Annual Institute for Innovative Education Team Based Care Symposium will explore national strategies for high performing team work in an academic medical center, as well as highlight our effective teams, the challenges they faced and strategies they developed for success.
The Institute for Innovative Education brings together educational leaders to integrate technology and the science of learning into existing educational programming, as well as focus on future institutional efforts that prepare our learners to be healthcare professional leaders of tomorrow.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:

1. Identify strategies to utilize team based care to improve patient safety

2. Apply quality improvement methods to improve patient care
