7th Annual Subcortical Surgery Group Meeting

The Subcortical Surgery Group (SSG) is a user group dedicated to optimizing minimally invasive corridor surgery to the subcortical space through clinical and scientific collaborative research and technology applications that are better for the patient.  The SSG is leading the revolutionary change in safe and effective minimally invasive treatments for patients with subcortical brain pathology.

n Boulder, Colorado. It is a comprehensive 2.5 day event.  

  • Thursday, July 23 is one-day training course on Minimally Invasive Parafascicular Surgery (MIPS).  The course is designed for surgeons that haven’t been trained on MIPS.  The course is limited to 36 attendees.

  • NEW in 2020, we are excited to offer a pre-meeting Connectomic course.  It will be held directly after the MIPS course on Thursday, July 23.  This course is an introduction to connectomic anatomy and imaging.  It provides users with hands-on experience with powerful connectomic software.  The course is designed for surgeons that are new to MIPS or experienced MIPS users.  It is limited to 42 attendees.

  • Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 is the 7th Annual Meeting.  The theme of this year’s meeting, Exploring Neurosurgery’s Future through the Eyes of Innovation, presents a very diverse agenda with over 25 presenters who will share their experiences and published evidence using modern surgical approaches.  This user’s meeting is designed as a collaborative learning experience focused on minimally invasive treatments for subcortical brain pathologies.
