The 7th Meeting of the NASA Small Bodies Assessment Group will be held at the Westin Pasadena Hotel from July 10-11, 2012. Attendees will convene in the Madera Room on July 10, 2012 per the agenda provided by Dr. Lindley Johnson and Dr. Mark V. Sykes. (See attached driving directions and Floor Plans.)
On-site event registration and a continental refreshment break will be available at 8:00 a.m.
- A block of sleeping rooms is currently on hold for all participants attending the NASA SBAG Meeting at the Westin Pasadena Hotel until June 25, 2012, the deadline for reservations. However, the hotel will still accept reservations past the deadline based on availability.
- The Westin Pasadena Hotel is located at 191 North Los Robles, Pasadena, California 91101.

- Rooms are held within the group block for two (2) nights, check-in is 3:00 p.m. on July 9th ; check-out is 12:00 noon on July 11, 2012. The hotel will extended the group rate on shoulder dates prior to and following the event based on availability.
- Housing will be in high demand, it is strongly advised that you check availability and secure accommodations to the event early. Please note that all attendees will be fully responsible for obtaining, managing, canceling, and incurring the cost of all expenses relative to one’s respective lodging reservation.

When you call, please supply the reservation agent with the group code “NASA SBAG” to receive the group rate of $123.00.00 per night plus 15.065% tax. Rooms are available at the group rate on a first-come, first-served basis.

· Early Departure Penalty – The hotel will apply an early departure fee of $61.50 to guests who
reserve a sleeping room within the group block and check-out prior to the original departure date on
one’s respective hotel reservation.
- Reservations by attendees must be received by the hotel on or before June 25, 2012 (the Cut-Off date or deadline). After the deadline, the hotel will release all unreserved sleeping rooms for sale to the general public at market rates, and determine whether or not it can accept reservations based on a space-and-rate available basis at the group rate.
Local Airports (Please Note: All cab and shuttle estimates below are for one-way travel.)
- Bob Hope Burbank Airport (BUR): The Bob Hope Burbank Airport is most convenient to the meeting site, as it is located about 15 miles from the Westin Pasadena Hotel. The cost of a metered taxi is approximately $60.00-$70.00 one-way. Share-ride shuttle bus service is $15.00 for the first passenger and $9.00 for each additional person with Super Shuttle Non-stop; private shuttle service is approximately $47.00 one-way. - Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): The Los Angeles International Airport is located about 30 miles from the Westin Pasadena Hotel. The cost of a metered taxi from LAX airport to the hotel is $95.00-$100.00. Super Shuttle Bus offers service to the Pasadena area from Los Angeles International Airport for an estimated fare $37.00 for the first passenger and $9.00 for each additional person. Travel time is about 40 minutes by car in low-congestion traffic.

· The Pasadena Amtrak Station is most convenient to the meeting site, as it is located approximately 4 miles from the Westin Pasadena Hotel.
Meal Arrangements and Refreshments
· A Complete Day Meeting package for meals will be provided daily, which includes a morning refreshment break, one lunch buffet on the first day of the meeting, and an afternoon refreshment break.
· Refreshments will be provided on workshop dates and lunch will be served on the first day of the event to all participants; government participants please do not seek reimbursement from your agency or institution.
· Dinner will not be served. However, a list of local restaurant establishments is attached.
· To ensure a hospitable experience, kindly provide information on any special dietary or medical requirements via email no later than 1 week prior to the event at mwashington@nasaprs.com.

- The Westin Pasadena Hotel offers parking to Day and Overnight guests. Please note that these per car rates are subject to change without notice.
Valet Parking - $14.00 per every 24-hours with in-and-out privileges
Self-Parking- $9.00 per every 24-hours with no in-and-out privileges
Sleeping Room Internet Rates
- Wireless and hardwire high speed Internet service is offered in the sleeping rooms to all overnight guests at a rate of $11.95 every 24-hours. However, internet is available complimentary in guest sleeping rooms for NASA SBAG attendees.
