In this course, you will have the opportunity to learn bakeshop skills that will help you create incredibly simple yet sophisticated and decadent vegan special occasion cakes and cupcakes. This pastry lab shows you which ingredients work best and why, what tools and equipment you’ll need and where to find them. Visit decorating stations to practice the variety of styles and designs used in piped frosting. Learn techniques for filling, seal-coating and icing a cake, then participate in assembling multi-tiered cakes as a class and capture photos before sampling your creations and dividing them up to take home. Professional and novice bakers welcome!
Receive recipes, decorating templates and a variety of resources that will help you become a skilled vegan baker. Gluten-free options are available upon request.
This is a great course for friends or family members looking to enjoy some time together while experiencing something new. Anything left over can be taken home by participants of the class, so please bring a container for transport.
This course requires no previous kitchen or cooking experience. Due to the nature of this course and the work performed in our professional kitchen, participants must wear long pants, long sleeves, and flat closed-toe shoes. The course length is approximate and will vary with the number of participants and other factors.
This course is suitable for ages 14+.
