A New World of Consumer Privacy Protection (and Company Risk) Starts January 1

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) will take effect on January 1, 2020. This is the most sweeping privacy law in many years and will affect virtually every company of sufficient size in California that collects personal information from California consumers.
