Members of AASHTO’s Public Transportation Council (PTC) and the Multi-state Technical Assistance Program (MTAP) will hold a joint meeting in Austin, Texas from November 15 - 16, 2017.

PTC is one of AASHTO’s 11 standing councils, providing public transportation expertise and leadership for advancing public transportation as a part of an intermodal transportation system. The PTC develops legislative, policy, and program recommendations related to all forms of passenger public transportation services including rural, urban, regional and intercity bus, travel demand management and commuter rail.

Founded in 1987, the primary purpose of the MTAP is to help states implement Federal Transit Administration programs, provide feedback to FTA on implementation issues and best practices and to create a professional network to share best practices, receive technical assistance, and obtain new ideas from other states.
