ACCSC Accreditation Workshop - Initial

Institutional Eligibility 
In order to register for the Accreditation Workshops, institutions must have completed the Pre-Workshop Application for Initial Applicant Schools and received approval from ACCSC to register for this workshop. Registrations without approval will be cancelled and refunded any paid fees less the cancellation fee.

This workshop is reserved specifically for institutions seeking first-time accreditation with ACCSC; consultants or other vendors are not permitted to attend this Accreditation Workshop. ACCSC is not responsible for any expenses that are non-refundable should a consultant or other vendor register for this workshop.

About the Accreditation Workshop
The accreditation process begins with attendance at an Accreditation Workshop where the Commission provides training and resources which will assist schools as they strive towards a meaningful self-evaluation and on-site evaluation experience.

The Accreditation Workshop provides an opportunity for participants gain a better understanding of the Commission’s standards and procedures, as well as to share experiences with other schools that will be pursuing accreditation. According to the Standards of Accreditation, "the full-time, on-site director or appropriate management team representative (see Section I (A)(1)(a), Substantive Standards, Standards of Accreditation) of the school must attend an accreditation workshop prior to the submission of the application for accreditation.

Required Preparation for the Accreditation Workshop
Participants are required to arrive at the workshop prepared having read ACCSC's Standards of Accreditation as it will serve as the foundation for your learning and understanding of ACCSC's requirements and processes. The workshop is designed to build on the knowledge you have gained from the Standards, not as a first introduction. Failure to read the Standards prior to the workshop will leave you unprepared for the conversation.

Participants will find it helpful to review the ACCSC Application for Accreditation and Self-Evaluation Report, and to have completed a Graduation and Employment Chart for each program offered at the school. You can download these documents from the Forms and Reports page on ACCSC's website.

ACCSC will provide additional materials for use during the workshop via e-mail to participants approximately (15) days prior to the scheduled workshop for download. ACCSC is a paperless organization and does not print any workshop materials.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy
If you cannot attend the workshop or find your institution is not eligible for ACCSC accreditation, you may transfer your registration to another appropriate management team member or cancel in writing seven (7) days prior to the scheduled workshop. A non-refundable $25 cancellation fee will apply. In addition, no workshop fees will be refunded if the registration is cancelled less than seven days prior to the scheduled workshop.
