Act 101 of 2010 Training Program for Court and Agency Appointed Authorized Representative Training

Summary

Endorsed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) and coordinated by Family Design Resources, this program is the initial 2-day, 12-hour program required for Authorized Representatives. This training is designed solely for those individuals who have been appointed as authorized representatives for purposes of implementing Act 101 of 2010. This training is eligible for continuing education units of credit (CEUs) and continuing legal education units of credit (CLE).

Participants in this training are required to review a Web-based introductory "Act 101 Overview" as a pre-requisite to the training. Instructions to complete the introductory course are listed under "Mandatory Pre-Requisite" below. Those not completing the "Overview" will not be permitted to attend the training. 

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited; therefore, all participants must be pre-registered. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Sign-in will begin at 8:30 AM. Beverages and light refreshments will be provided. Lunch will be on your own. If needed, please make hotel reservations in the area. Please note: the venue will not have enough electrical outlets for each laptop. Training handouts will be provided.

Mandatory Pre-Requisite

Training participants are required to complete a web-based introductory "Act 101 Overview," housed on the Child Welfare Resource Center (CWRC) website. Please access the instructions for completing the "Overview" training and fulfill this requirement prior to the first day of the training.  We recommend completing the Act 101 Overview at least one week prior to training.

Completion of the required training will be confirmed by CWRC with Family Design Resources prior to day one of training.  Individuals registered for the training who do not complete the pre-requisite should not report for training.  Refunds will be processed according to the cancellation policy.
