These trainings are open to DPH, Bureau of Substance Addiction providers as well as other youth serving agencies and departments.

Description:
Participants in this workshop will experience activities and have the chance to practice leading activities which support the Active Client Engagement (ACE) methodology & pedagogy. The day will be activity after activity for small and large groups followed by discussion on applying the activities to different ages & client bases, increasing & decreasing challenge depending on needs, and etc. We will also spend approximately 1 hour of time crafting new activities which can be used in 1 on 1 settings.
Discussion and introduction to ACE, why it is important, and about moving from control to empowerment will have been discussed in depth in the ACE workshop and will not be the primary focus of ACE – The Activities. It is recommended that participants in ACE – The Activities will have already taken the ACE workshop.
