• Multidisciplinary management and incorporating GI into referral patterns

• Placement best practices
• Post-placement management
• Potential AEs associated with PFCs

FNA vs. FNB:
• EUS FNA vs EUS FNB – Why do we need more tissue
• How different needles work
• How to process the sample
• Role of pathology – Pathology as GI’s ”customer”
• Slide prep best practices
• Techniques for best tissue sampling with Acquire
• Cytopathology vs Pathology – How does that affect my practice?

EUS Liver Biopsy:
• What is EUS guided liver biopsy? Why should GI perform it?
• Patient selection and disease states
• Current alternatives for Liver Biopsy – Percutaneous, Transjugular, EUS
• Benefits of EUS guided liver biopsy
• Sample prep best practices
• Techniques for EUS guided liver biopsy

Typically, there will be 4-6 cases to observe. Between cases, Dr. Nieto will spend time discussing tips and techniques for improving AXIOS outcomes and other difficult therapeutic procedures with attendees in the conference room.
