Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor Course September 08, 2017

This course is designed for doctors who satisfy the qualifications of the model ATLS® Instructor:
• Successfully complete a Student Course within three years of applying for the Instructor Course
• Be identified as Instructor potential upon completion of Student Course
• Demonstrate commitment to the care of the trauma patient
• Demonstrate commitment to the ATLS® principles and philosophies
• Demonstrate proper attitude of a model Instructor
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Willingness to serve as a faculty team member
Out-of-State Instructor Applicants: Must have written approval from their respective state’s Committee

Accreditation

As an organization accredited for continuing medical education by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the American College of Surgeons designates this continuing medical activity as meeting the criteria for Category 1 and the following numbers of credits: ATLS® Instructor: 12 hours ATLS Approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for ACEP category 1 credit.
