Conference Description

This course was founded and developed by the American College of Surgeons. The ATLS-IP (initial provider) course is designed to assist physicians in providing emergency care for the acutely injured patient. This 2-day course will focus on the initial assessment, lifesaving interventions, reevaluation, stabilization and concepts for definitive treatment and transfer. ATLS will be delivered via a series of pre-course and post course testing, core content lectures, interactive case presentation, group discussions, practical laboratory experiences and a final performance proficiency evaluation in The Simulation Center at Fairbanks Hall.

Advanced Trauma Life Support and the acronym ATLS are proprietary trademarks and service marks owned by the American College of Surgeons. These marks are used with the College’s prior written
approval.
