Vanderbilt University is approved by the American College of Surgeons as an official course site for ATLS® (Advanced Trauma Life Support). This is a 1/2-day renewal course for ATLS and is sponsored by the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care. This course includes a content and triage scenario overview followed by practical and written testing stations. Successful completion renews ATLS certification for an additional four years. To qualify to take an ATLS refresher course, you cannot be more than 6 months past your expiration date.
