Emergency Medical Services in Arkansas has transformed from a transport vehicle stocked with only a stretcher, to an advanced system with the ability to perform highly technical treatments and procedures. During its infancy expanded its scope, from band-aids to first aid combined with rapid transport. As an adolescent the profession began to realize that EMS was more than a ride to the hospital. Experience proved to be the best teacher. Experience also showed us that structured education and skills criteria would provide a standardized level of training and this training must be ongoing. As adulthood was obtained, EMS continued to grow. Middle age is a time when most have matured and hopefully, is still growing. We strive to make the same true as EMS reaches middle age.
The Arkansas Emergency Medical Technicians Association (AEMTA) knows EMS has blossomed since onset and realizes there is till much more room to grow in order to serve citizens to the best of our ability. We base the idea of growth on an education foundation, as we all know EMS is an ever changing field. In order to stay on top of new treatments and procedures, as well as, maintain proficiency of skills and knowledge, that is not used on a daily basis, AEMTA strives to offer quality continuing educational events.
The EMS Educational Symposium & Trade Show, a regional educational conference, will be held August 3 - 6, 2017, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Educators from across the United States, as well as from our Natural State, will share their wisdom with the EMS Professionals in the South Central Region.
Your assistance is needed to make this a success. The Arkansas EMT Association is a non-profit organization that maintains a 501(c)(6) tax status. The Internal Revenue Service has advised the AEMTA, even with a 501(c)(6) tax status that a tax deductible contribution may be made by companies to this conference by sponsoring individual activities (breaks, banquet, Trade Show Meet & Greet, competitions, awards, etc.) and/or speakers for the EMS Educational Symposium & Trade Show. In order to assist in the education necessary to perhaps save the life of yourself, your family, or your friends, we request that you become a financial sponsor of the EMS Educational Symposium & Trade Show. Exhibit space is also available, should that better fit your capabilities.
As you consider sponsoring our educational event, please visit the Sponsorship Levels tab above to view each level of sponsorship and what is you will receive at each level.
Thank you in advance for supporting EMS education in our great state!
