On a more realistic level, the day-to-day operations of Kansas non-profits rely on respectful and productive relationships with the public sector. In this session we will discuss how public/private partnerships work and how your organization can find resources to support community activities that make every citizen’s life more meaningful. Dale Goter – Gotervision Goter started his career as a journalist, graduating from Kansas State University. He covered government affairs for the Salina Journal, and statewide politics for the Harris News Service s its Topeka political correspondent. Goter then served as the host and moderator for Kansas Week, carried across the state of Kansas on public access television for 17 years until he took a position as Government Relations Manager for the City of Wichita. Goter has since moved into a part time role providing media and marketing consulting to Kansas Global Trade Center. Natalie S Bright, J.D. – Bright & Carpenter Consulting, Inc.Bright has more than twenty years of experience lobbying on behalf of Kansas businesses, nonprofits and statewide associations at both the state and federal levels. Her expertise is in lobbying specifically in the areas of taxation, human resources, insurance, judicial reform, budget and transportation. Bright has a joint degree in business administration and political science from the University of California-Riverside. She received her law degree from Washburn School of Law in 1998 and began lobbying for the Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the 1998 Legislative Session. Bright is licensed to practice law in state of Kansas and resides in Shawnee, Kan. with her husband Kevin and four children.
