Join Bonneville Power Administration,
Seattle City Light, and EPRI for a one-day workshop on data centers as we
explore the challenges of improving the energy efficiency of business server
rooms. The workshop will bring together data center operators, utilities, and
industry players to explore the challenges that face modern data centers in
cooling, with a focus on airflow management. Participating experts will give
their insight into best-practice solutions for airflow management in data
centers and provide tools to make the business case for these solutions to
decision makers. In addition, a panel of utility participants will delve into
the impact and success of utility incentive programs for energy efficiency, and
how the measurement and verification process for incentives can be streamlined
for these measures. The workshop registration fee will be waived for the first
20 attendees who opt for a walk-thru audit of their data center.
workshop adjourns at 2:00pm, EPRI will present a training session for utility
representatives on how to perform simple, walk-through energy audits in data
centers, followed by a tour of a local co-location facility where these
techniques will be demonstrated. If you would like to attend this afternoon
session and tour, please check the optional session box during registration.
Those traveling to attend this workshop are also encouraged to consider
attending The Green Grid Forum on March 8-9, immediately preceding
To bring together the various stakeholders in data center technology and operations, as well as the utilities that support them, to learn about retrofit opportunities for airflow management in data centers and energy efficiency incentives.
