Summary

This course will provide you with an understanding of the physiology of sleep apnea and the current diagnostic and treatment options, as well as a new orthodontic approach and its protocols. The orthodontic approach is intended to provide patients with immediate relief from OSA, as well as changes to the airway that may address an underlying cause. We will demonstrate innovative technologies and convenient, cost effective processes to improve the diagnostic and treatment experience. This program is the first of its kind in the orthodontic industry, and includes a complete, evidence-based system to implement into your practice now.

What are the advantages of attending this in office course? This course will cover all the same material from the lecture courses, plus:

  • Hands-on experience in taking a construction bite for a sleep appliance, taking an intraoral scan, submitting for the sleep appliance and how to fit into your schedule.
  • Hands-on experience in how we do the initial exam, how we use 3D Cone Beam to show airway and obstruction, and how we discuss treatment options.
  • There will be hands-on experience in how the team talks with patients about our “Airway Friendly” approach and how we fit those appointments into the normal work day.
  • You will have the opportunity to try out a home sleep test and get the results for yourself or one of your team.
  •  We will demonstrate how we use intraoral scanning and 3D printing to do retainers for life and in-house aligners.
