Please join us on Sunday, 2 April 2017 at the Travis Heritage Center to celebrate the USAFA Founders Day. The Travis Heritage Center is an aircraft museum. Doors open at noon. The social hour with hors d’oeuvres begins at 1:00 PM and the signature luncheon buffet begins at 1:30 PM. Doors close at 5:00 PM.
The hors d’oeuvres will consist of chilled shrimp with cocktail sauce, seasonal fruit skewers, BBQ meatballs and sweet chili glazed chicken skewers. The signature buffet will consist of garden salad, potato salad, seared salmon, marinated tri-tip, mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables and pan roasted mushrooms.
Our guest speaker for the luncheon will be Col. Jeffrey Collins, the Director of AF CyberWorx, a new venture comprising a public-private research and design center located at the Air Force Academy and focused on cyber capabilities and disruptive technology. He leads a small team for the Air Force that melds military, academic and industry expertise with state of the art technology and user-centered design to solve wicked operational problems. Colonel Collins has degrees from Purdue, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg.
Dress for the luncheon may be military uniform or business casual.
Registration will close on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 8 PM.
