Description of Webinar

Join the National Endowment for the Arts, buildingcommunityWORKSHOP, and the Housing Assistance Council as we answer your questions and offer guidance on the Request for Applications for the Citizens’ Institute on Rural Design. This webinar will inform potential applicants about the details of our program—both the local Workshops and the Learning Cohort—and guide you through our application so that you can best represent your community’s design needs!

Target Audience

Applicants for the Citizens’ Institute on Rural Design should, at a minimum:

  • be part of a rural or tribal community of 50,000 or less, that is rural in character;
  • have a specific design challenge in mind, although CIRD staff realize that design challenges might evolve based on on-the-ground happenings; and
  • be able to participate in CIRD as (i.e., commit to the full period of programming from September 2019-December 2020)

Prior Knowledge

None required.

Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will obtain information on eligibility and if they should apply for Citizens’ Institute on Rural Design programs.
  2. Participants will obtain information on timeline of CIRD application and selection criteria
