Workshop Objectives

At the end of this session, you will:
o Understand the strategic role of an internal communication professional
o Learn how to change the conversation to move from order-taker to strategic advisor


Session 1 – November 16
A. Five i’s of strategic internal communication. In this module we will focus on the traditional role of the internal communication professional as tactical implementer. We will focus on the communicator’s role in implementation and the strategy involved in tactical execution.

Session 2 – November 30
B. Interact & Integrate. Focus on the important role communication professionals play in interacting and integrating. In this module, we will look at research, building relationships, and connecting the dots between words and action.

Session 3 – December 7
C. Influence & Impact. The communicator’s role is not to communicate behalf of your organization/client but influence how they communicator. In this module, we’ll understand how to identify and engage influencers and measure true communication success.

Session 4 – December 14
D. Tricks and Tools. This final module will introduce a planning template that can be used by communication professional to manage the conversation and plan for business success.
