Dr. Harald Heymann
Dr. Heymann has been a Professor at the UNC School of Dentistry for over 40 years. He is the Past Chair of the Department of Operative dentistry and was the inaugural Thomas P. Hinman Distinguished Professor. He is a Fellow in the ICD, ACD, Academy of Dental Materials, and is a Fellow and Past-President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Heymann has been the Senior Editor of Sturdevant’s Art and Science of Operative Dentistry textbook and a consultant to the ADA. He has authored over 200 scientific publications, given over 1,600 lectures worldwide, is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and has received the Gordon J. Christensen Award for Excellence as a CE speaker.
Dr. Marcos Vargas
Dr. Marcos Vargas attended Cayetano Heredia University School of Dentistry in Lima, Peru and graduated in 1985. He spent two years, 1990 to 1992, in the AEGD program at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY. Dr. Vargas received his Certificate and Master Degree in Operative Dentistry in 1994 at the University of Iowa where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Family Dentistry. His primary research interests are in the area of dental materials including glass ionomers, dentin bonding, composite resins and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Vargas is also recognized for his expertise of Direct Restorative Treatment Procedures and conducts numerous lecture and hands-on seminars in the US and internationally. Dr. Marcos Vargas has published extensively in the area of dental adhesion and resin composites for 25 years. He maintains a private practice limited to Operative Dentistry with an emphasis on aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Daniele Larose
Dr. Danièle Larose obtained her D.M.D. from the University of Montreal in 1997. Her continuing education has focused on dental/facial esthetics and smile design. Danièle is a member of the Canadian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In her dynamic and motivating style, Dr. Larose lectures and leads hands-on programs covering direct anterior composite resin techniques. She has been featured in Oral Health’s Esthetic issue, as well as Continuum. Dr. Larose maintains a private practice in St. Laurent, Quebec primarily devoted to conservative esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Chad Duplantis
Dr. Duplantis received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 1999. He then continued with Post Doctorate training at Baylor College of Dentistry, earning a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2000. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Duplantis has been in private practice since 2000 in the North Fort Worth, TX area with an emphasis on restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Duplantis is a member of the Catapult Educations Speakers Bureau and has been a member of several Aesthetic and Restorative Continuums, most recently the Spear Education Study Club. He has written multiple articles regarding digital dentistry, bonding and cementation for various dental publications. He is a clinical consultant for Glidewell Laboratories, and AMD Lasers.
Dr. Adamo Notarantonio
Dr. Adamo Notarantonio is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine (2002), where he received honors in both removable and fixed prosthodontics. He completed his residency in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Stony Brook in 2003, and was chosen by faculty to complete a second year as Chief Resident.
Dr. Adamo was accredited by American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2011, and recently received his Fellowship in the AACD. He is the only Accredited Fellow in New York State, and the 80th person worldwide to achieve this honor. He was further honored by the Academy when asked to serve as a consultant and examiner for the Accreditation and Fellowship processes.
In 2016, Dr. Adamo was awarded the AACD’s Rising Star Award. Dr. Adamo has been re-elected to serve on the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry®,is the most recent past chairman of the ABCD, and has recently been appointed the Accreditation Chairman of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Adamo is a graduate of the Kois Center, where he studied under Dr. John Kois. He also has completed The Dawson Academy Core Curriculum and has received his fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has been published in multiple dental journals and lectures nationally and internationally on such topics as CAD/CAM dentistry, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, composite dentistry and dental photography. Dr. Adamo also volunteers his time at the NYU College of Dentistry where he is a Clinical Instructor in the Honors Aesthetics Program.
Dr. Foroud Hakim
Dr Faroud Hakim has balanced private practice and dental education for 27 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has a true passion for restorative dentistry ranging from complex rehabilitation to optimally conservative, single tooth restoration. He is former Vice Chair of the Department of Integrated Reconstructive Dental Sciences at University of the Pacific and has been a Director in the Esthetics, Implant and Complex Care Clinic at Pacific.
Dr. Hakim earned his D.D.S. Degree in 1991 from the University of the Pacific and later went on to complete an MBA from his Alma Mater. He is a member of OKU Dental Honor Society and Past President of the Delta Delta Chapter, as well as a Fellow and Graduate of the ADEA Leadership Institute and sits on the Board of Catapult Education. Dr. Hakim has lectured nationally and internationally on topics ranging from technology, esthetic dentistry, occlusion, smile design, CAD/CAM, photography, and adhesive & composite dentistry. Dr. Hakim has several publications and has authored two chapters in the 2010 text, Esthetic Dentistry in Clinical Practice from Blackwell Publishing.
