Have you been using a student response system like GoSoapbox, Socrative or Poll Everywhere? Now that you’re used to using the tool in class, are you thinking about the questions you ask your students? Or are you interested in using a student response system, but aren’t sure how it could be used in your course? In this session, we’ll use GoSoapbox to explore a number of different questioning strategies that are effective with student response systems, and how they can be used to foster deeper thinking, and add some variety to your questioning techniques. This session will focus on generic questioning strategies that can be used with any student response system, or without using a student response system at all. Come and learn some new questioning strategies to get your students thinking and discussing more in class!
Note: This will be an interactive workshop, so please bring a laptop or mobile device of some kind to the session.
