The Actuarial Society of South Africa is hosting its second Banking Seminar at the Westin in Cape Town on 22 November 2016. South Africa is in the spotlight as a global leader in the actuarial profession for its expertise in banking. We introduced the Banking Fellowship subject at the end of 2015, allowing actuaries to qualify as Banking actuaries. A number of actuarial societies globally have expressed interest to leverage the work performed in South Africa and implement the Banking syllabus in their own jurisdictions.
In light of this, the 2016 Banking Seminar is expected to attract numerous local and international actuarial professionals, including members of the International Actuarial Association (IAA), the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). The speakers that are honouring us at this event are known for their knowledge in Banking and Finance, the expected future of banking, technology, customer value analytics as well as the current African landscape, a few of these (to mention a few) are Michael Jordaan, Arthur Goldstuck and Peter Schlebusch
This is one not to be missed. Refer to the programme to see the great line-up of speakers. Come share, and interact with like-minded actuaries who are passionate about Banking.
