Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the 41st Annual Brain Impairment Conference (ASSBI) being held at the Adelaide Hilton, South Australia on 3rd – 5th May 2018.

The theme of this conference is: Connecting and Collaborating in Rehabilitation. The conference will cover both clinical and laboratory studies, relating to assessment and rehabilitation of individuals with brain impairment across the lifespan, with a strong focus on how knowledge and scientific evidence can be effectively translated into practice.

As ASSBI is a multidisciplinary society, we encourage researchers and health professionals in areas such as neuropsychology, clinical psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, social work, neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation and nursing to contribute and take part.

Keynote speakers of the Conference include: Dr Caroline Ellis-Hill (UK), Dr Tim Feeney (USA), A/Prof Nicola Kayes (NZ), and A/Prof Grahame Simpson (AUS). Professor Jacinta Douglas (AUS) will give the ASSBI Presidential Address.

A number of pre-conference workshops have been organised to provide attendees with the latest developments in the understanding and treatment of brain impairment. As well as “how-to” sessions to encourage skill development led by experienced clinicians as well as oral presentations, datablitz and posters

We look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide.
