available to support vulnerable individuals.
The second session will be an interactive workshop-style presentation exploring these issues.
Mr David Bayly: It is important for practitioners
treating and assessing those with traumatic brain injuries and/or with
impaired capacity to understand the legal considerations involved with
identifying and determining whether a person has impaired capacity to
either instruct a lawyer and/or manage a large settlement sum in the
eyes of the law. During this segment, David Bayly, who heads up Bradley
Bayly's WA Medical Law Practice, will walk you through the legal process
involved in determining a claimant’s capacity and the significance of
this determination in relation to an individual’s compensation claim.
David will also discuss the intersection between the legal and medical
