Light Reading’s next installment of the Backhaul Strategies series will be staged at a time when leading mobile operators are looking forward to how they are going to scale their backhaul networks as well as optimize them for the new performance requirements that are in the pipeline with new network, service, and application capabilities of LTE-A and VoLTE. As well as continuing to support growing traffic volumes, this year’s event will track how operator attention is now also focusing on the end-to-end optimization of packet services as network and services move to all-IP architectures. Dedicated sessions will examine what impact SDN and LTE-A will have on the future backhaul architecture as well as the roadmap for meeting the mobile operator’s expectations with respect to both scalability and new performance requirements. The role of the mobile operator, backhaul wholesaler, equipment vendor, and other solution providers in North America’s mobile backhaul ecosystem will be addressed through focused panel sessions and operator keynotes.
