In order to help prevent falls it helps to have a strong physical foundation. This class is designed for individuals who want to gain strength in their legs, core and upper body in order to help improve their balance and stability. All movements can be modified to accommodate those with mild orthopedic issues (e.g., arthritis). This event:• Demonstrates exercises designed to specifically help improve balance• Reviews different exercise techniques that may help improve strength and coordination• May aid in improving balance in order to help prevent fallsClasses and Events are available at no charge to plan holders of an AARP Medicare Supplement Plan insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company in participating states. An insured member may bring one family member or friend to attend a class or event at no charge. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. If attending an exercise class, be sure to wear sneakers or rubber-soled shoes, bring a bottle of water and/or a yoga mat (if attending a yoga class) and your AARP Medicare Supplement insurance ID card or number.Administered by Optum for UnitedHealthcare.
