Baltimore Chapter Meeting Financial Exploitation of Seniors

Credit unions are at ground zero for detecting financial exploitation of seniors and vulnerable adults. Seniors are losing an estimated $36 billion annually to fraud, according to a 2015 survey by True Link, a financial services firm for older people. Credit unions are in a unique position to recognize the potential signs of elder abuse and financial exploitation.

Join us on Tuesday, November 13, and hear from a representative of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General who will address the telltale indicators and reporting requirements when financial abuse of seniors or vulnerable adults is suspected.
